James Doyon was called to the Bar in 2017 and has practiced primarily in the area of personal injury law since that time. James holds a Diploma of Law from the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB).

In 2021 James was commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy as a Reserve Legal Officer. James is an Honorary Lecturer at Macquarie University in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences.
