Overview

Turvey practises predominantly in the areas of planning and environmental disputes (including crime), building and construction and other property-related commercial disputes.

In the planning and environmental area, Turvey’s work includes acting on development and environmental appeals, compulsory acquisitions, civil enforcement, judicial review of administrative and statutory actions, and prosecutions.  He acts for proponents, state and local government, and other statutory authorities involved in the development process.

Turvey has been consistently recognised by Doyle’s Guide as one of NSW’s leading Planning & Environment Barristers, from 2016 to 2023.

Turvey also acts a variety of property-related commercial disputes, including residential and commercial building disputes and commercial disputes about real property rights including title disputes, encroachments, easements and covenants, and development agreements.
